Where Faith Grows, Love Leads, and Purpose Unfolds

Create Your World

God created the world with words, now you create yours.
God created the world with words, now you create yours.
“In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.”

Ecclesiastes 11:6 KJV

Some may say this scripture is referring to sowing financially and faithfully because you don’t know when your harvest might come (which I say is true). But one evening, while I was spending time with God, He brought me back to that same scripture, Ecclesiastes 11:6. And in my mind, I’m like, “Okay, God, I already sow faithfully,” but as I reread it, a new revelation came.

What God showed me was another interpretation of this scripture, and I want to share it with you. What He showed me was that this verse refers to confessing the Word of God. In the morning, start declaring the Word of God over your situation or what you hope to form in your life.

Hebrews 11:3 KJV says,

“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”

So, if the world was created with the Word of God, then so can our lives be.

I know a few of you are saying to yourselves, “But Kyra, I have my affirmations on my bathroom mirror, and I say them daily.” That’s amazing! But are they Word based? Now, don’t go tearing your sticky notes off the mirror; just go find a scripture that aligns with your declaration.

So, back to Ecclesiastes 11:6 and the revelation from God. He broke this scripture into three parts.

The first part of the scripture says

"In the morning sow thy seed"

Seed = The Word of God

Morning = A blank piece of paper waiting for your words to create.

Sidebar: You know what’s so funny? How does the world know this, but as Christians, we have trouble understanding? As I was writing this, the song “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield came to my mind. The part where she goes, “Staring at the blank page before you, open up the dirty window, let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find… no one else can speak the words on your lips.” Even she knew that your page will stay blank until you speak.

So, in the morning, use the Word of God to create your future.

The second part of the scripture says,

"and in the evening withhold not thine hand.”

Throughout the day, continue to declare/confess the Word of God and even write/draw whatever you’re believing God for.

My church recently did an exercise where, for 21 days, we had to write or draw what we were believing God for. Instead of writing, I decided to draw. Drawing daily has not only increased my faith but also helped me actually visualize myself in that current situation.

So, I challenge you to do the same exercise for 21 days and watch something shift in your life.

Draw a picture. Get an image down in your heart because, before anything can come to fruition, you have to be able to see it for yourself. Think about it. How can we believe God for something but not even picture it coming to pass? Drawing it helps you create a mental picture. It’s like drawing the picture and handing it to God Himself and saying, “Hey God, this is what I’m believing for, and I thank You for it in advance.”

The third part of the scripture says,

“for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.”

Do both! Confess and draw your goals and dreams. You don’t know how they are being formed behind the scenes. In other words, just do both. Either way, it’s going to work.
