Where Faith Grows, Love Leads, and Purpose Unfolds

Blessed When You Believe

“Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill His promises to her.” — Luke 1:45 NIV

This verse marks a powerful turning point in the biblical narrative—where belief is met with blessing, and doubt gives way to trust. God seen Mary as blessed not only because she believed, but because she received what was spoken to her through the angel Gabriel.

God sent Gabriel to tell her that she would give birth to the Son of God and name Him Jesus (Luke 1:26-37 NIV). She received that word even when there were no visible signs to confirm it. Her response was, "I am the Lord's servant, may your word to me be fulfilled" (Luke 1:38 NIV).

Following Gods Voice

What has God told you? It may have come directly through His voice, through His Word, or even through a prophet.

You may not see any signs yet but don’t lose hope. Whatever God has spoken to you, receive it like Mary did.

Scripture says, “For no word from God will ever fail” (Luke 1:37).

So if God told you that you would be debt-free, receive it, and thank Him daily as if it’s already done. If He told you that you would become a homeowner, thank Him, and start preparing for it.

In my own life, it was prophesied that I would own a home. For years, there were no signs of it. I started the home-buying process multiple times, only for things to fall through. The first time, I was approved for $250K which would only qualify me for a trailer home. I felt discouraged and didn’t move forward. About a year later, another bank told me I needed a co-signer which I didn’t want. Then I found a different lender who approved me for more, but every offer I made was rejected. Eventually, I took a break. I entered a relationship with my now-husband, got engaged, and had a wedding to plan in just four months. As the wedding approached, we decided not to stay in his apartment due to the area, and instead find a place of our own. We found an apartment and applied for an 18-month lease but were only approved for 12 months. Looking back now, that was nobody but God. Because exactly 12 months later (as I’m writing this) we purchased our first home.

We received the keys to our home at the beginning of April and turned in our apartment keys at the end of April. Perfect timing. Only God could orchestrate something like that.

Joy in the Waiting

When we moved into our apartment, I could have easily become bitter and questioned God: “Where is my house? Maybe it’s never going to happen.”

But instead, I chose joy.

I focused on how God blessed me with a loving husband and a beautiful apartment in a safe area. I was content and so was my husband. Why? Because I knew that no word from God fails. I trusted that homeownership would come at the right time. I truly believe that maintaining joy and continuing to praise God positioned us for what came next.

Don’t Quit Under Pressure

Now let me be clear this home didn’t come from simply waiting. I had to move when God told me to move. In the fall of 2025, God placed it on my heart to start looking again. I was pregnant with our son and didn’t want to raise him in a small apartment far from family and church. So I started the process again with a new realtor and a new lender.

After months of searching and being outbid, I finally found a beautiful home that had everything I was looking for: a garage, an en-suite bathroom, and an updated interior; my non-negotiables.

I seen the home early on a Monday morning and submitted an offer that same evening. Surprisingly, the seller had no other offers even after an open house the previous weekend. You see the weekend of the open house there was a snow storm and many people stayed home. Nobody but God. Right after my offer was accepted, someone else tried to submit one but it was too late. This was early February 2026, and I was due to give birth by the end of the month so everything had to move quickly.

After giving birth, my file went into underwriting and that’s when the pressure hit.

For four weeks, there were constant back-and-forth requests for explanations. It was exhausting. I honestly wanted to give up. But God sent me encouragement through my mom to keep going. The enemy couldn’t stop the blessing so he tried to get me to quit.

He attacked my mind with fear and doubt, hoping I would talk myself out of what God already promised. But daily, I chose to fight back. I meditated on God’s Word, rejected negative thoughts, and replaced them with truth. I selected 12 faith scriptures and read them continuously throughout the day. And then Monday, March 30th 2026, breakthrough came.

I received the message that underwriting was complete and everything was approved. That same week, we got the keys to our home.

Blessed am I, who has believed that the Lord would fulfill His promises to me.
